H. Ma

H. Ma was born on April 16, 1961 in Changchun, China. Coming from a lineage of talented artists, his father was a distinguished member of the Changchun Province Artist Association. Ma's exceptional artistic ability manifested at an early age, winning his high school's Award of National Public School Drawing at just 16 years old.

In 1985, Ma graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Changchun Institute with a major in oil painting. His distinctive technique combines brushwork and palette knife to create textures that are simultaneously solid and soft. His contemporary abstract paintings demonstrate remarkable versatility in style and execution.

Ma is an active member of the Changchun Artist Association. His work has been featured in prestigious exhibitions including the Changchun Province National Exhibition, the Chinese National Art Exhibition, CNB Artist Group Exhibitions in Beijing, the 3rd Asia Country Exhibition in China, and the 7th National Fine Art Exhibition.

His works have achieved the distinguished honor of permanent display at the United States' preeminent design destination—the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. His pieces grace the walls of the prestigious Noure's Gallery on the sixth floor of this iconic design center, a testament to their exceptional artistic merit and cultural significance. Additionally, his work features prominently in Wisconsin's premier fine art institution, Gallery Lake Geneva, further cementing his international reputation for artistic excellence.
